There is a legend that the originator of the Thai traditional massage Shivago Komarpaj was the Buddha's physician and this exceptional massage was created las a kind of healing therapy. Thus, it is not surprising that the Thai massage traditions date back more than 2 thousand years and are intertwined with the culture and rituals of India, China and the whole South-East Asia.

The Thai massage has been practiced not due to relaxing effects but due to its therapeutic effects for centuries:

  • Contaminants, salts and toxins are drained from the body, the body is stimulated to fight against exhausting diseases and other different disorders.
  • Muscle relaxing and ligament strengthening exercises are carried out by palms, forearms, knees, fee and full body strength, biologically active points are stimulated.
  • After this massage, the body elasticity increases, pain and muscle tension is relieved.
  • The Thai massage is particularly useful in cold countries because muscle contract because of col and after some time certain stiffness occurs. 
  • Unlike other massages, the Thai massage is performed on a rigid mattress, rug on the floor.
  • The intensity of the movements carried out by the massage master depends on individual condition of each patient whic is assessed before starting the treatment.

The Thai traditional massage treatments lasts from 1 hour to 2 hours. The first treatment starts about 1 hour and mostly are more gentle because the human organism's response to the massage is observed during the massage. Please note that the well-being becomes better already after the first treatment; however, taking into account the condition of the person, the massage must be repeated 3-5 times with a break of 2-3 days. The treatments are not recommended every day.
