The name Monist reflects a distinctive approach to relaxation and wellbeing. While the term monism traditionally refers to the philosophical belief in the unity of all things, within the context of the hotel it represents a holistic approach to the guest experience. Body, mind, and soul are closely connected, and true relaxation requires attention to all three.

The hotel’s signature restaurant provides unforgettable culinary experiences. Its concept was created by chef Eglė Kaminskaitė, who brings over 16 years of experience from renowned restaurants in Vilnius and has further developed her expertise in Norway and Spain.
At Monist, Baltic culinary heritage meets modern European flavors. The dishes evoke childhood memories while surprising guests with unexpected combinations and emotional storytelling through food. The menu is guided by seasonality and local ingredients, from rhubarb in summer to forest harvests in autumn.
“I am deeply fascinated by our history, roots, and Baltic culture. Unfortunately, the Soviet era altered Lithuanian cuisine and took away part of its authentic identity. Our vision is to restore the true Lithuanian nature of dishes while focusing on local ingredients and ethically, sustainably grown produce from small local farms,” says Eglė Kaminskaitė. “Food is at the heart of Monist.
