Shirodhara is a relaxation ritual during which a warm oil is gently poured on the forehead, to the so-called third eye area. There is the sixth chakra Ajna responsible for thinking, concentration and imagination in the centre of the forehead. It is believed that it connects the consciousness and subconsciousness and affects our emotional state. According to the Eastern wisdom, in case of malfunction of the sixth chakra, we feel anxiety, low self-confidence, fear, inability to concentrate etc.
